[ Diversity Initiative ]
Holland & Hart has been a long-time leader in diversity initiatives. In 1993 and again in 2000,
the firm initiated and led 23 law firms in Colorado to create and adopt the Colorado
Pledge to Racial and Ethnic Diversity.
As a result, we seek to attract and retain qualified women and people of color, and we place a high value on ethnic, religious, sexual orientation, age, ability, and economic diversity among our attorneys. We established the Holland & Hart Summer Associate Diversity Scholarship Program to facilitate this vision.
Diversity Scholarship Criteria
The firm’s Diversity and Recruitment Committees will select one second-year law student from a
top tier law school to receive a summer clerkship and scholarship—the largest award of its kind in
the MountainWest.
The recipient will receive $10,000 to be applied toward law school tuition and/or expenses
incurred during the third year of law school. Additionally, the recipient will work as a paid
2009 Summer Associate.
A Leading Place toWork for Young Lawyers
According to a recent Vault National Survey, Holland & Hart was recognized as one of the best
law firms in the nation for young lawyers to work. In addition, Holland & Hart was ranked #1 for
Informal Training and Mentoring, #2 in the area of Associate/ Partner Relations, and in the Top 20
as a good and satisfying place to work.
